The Confraria de Chaves was formed on November 21, 2008 in Clark and seeks to defend and dissemination of traditional products and, in general, uses, customs and traditions of the Chaves region, gastronomic products including their knowledge and traditions associated with them. 
The Fraternity of Clark's vision is to become a platform for organizational excellence at the regional level in the areas of promotion and development of resources, customs and traditions of cultural and gastronomic region of Chaves.
The Confraria de Chaves was founded by twenty five members and entities representing various sectors of public life, private and cultural, the Grand Master and other governing bodies were elected at the meeting of January 17, 2009 held at the Centro Cultural de Chaves .
Were appointed Brethren founders who signed the minutes of foundation and represent the cornerstone of the Confraria de Chaves and is the supreme advisory body called the Council of Elders.
The Confraria de Chaves integrate or promote activities and events along with bodies, public and private, particularly the local authority flaviense.
The Confraria de Chaves is an entity representative of different categories of members that serve the same purpose of promotion or protection of collective interests as important as the preservation and revitalization of traditional products, ethics, social responsibility, sustainable rural development, environment, minorities, social economy in spirit of solidarity, equal opportunities and gender, art and culture, among others.
